Bunaken Island hop itinerary for 08-day, 07-night island-hopping itinerary around Bunaken and its neighboring islands:
DAY 01 : MANADO ARRIVALS – BUNAKEN ISLAND
- We will meet you on your morning arrival at Sam Ratulangi International Airport in Manado, and guide you to the Kalimas harbor for a boat ride to Bunaken Island.
- Sail a cross the Manado bay about 45 minutes from the harbor, on arrival check into your accommodation on Bunaken Island. After settling in, enjoy a leisurely afternoon exploring the nearby beach or snorkeling in the shallow reefs around your resort.
- Dinner in evening as a welcome dinner at the resort, where you’ll be briefed about the upcoming activities.
DAY 02 : DIVING OR SNORKELING ON BUNAKEN ISLAND
- Breakfast in the morning and head out for a diving or snorkeling excursion in Bunaken National Marine Park by private boat. Explore renowned spots like Lekuan, Sachiko’s Point, or Fukui, famous for their vibrant coral walls, diverse marine life, and excellent visibility.
- Lunch at resort and in the afternoon after lunch, continue with another dive or snorkeling session. Keep an eye out for sea turtles, reef sharks, and a myriad of colorful fish. Afternoon return to resort.
- In the evening easy relax at the resort, with an optional night dive. Dinner and sleep overnight.
DAY 03 : MORE DIVING OR SNORKELING ON BUNAKEN ISLAND
- Morning breakfast and then we go for Dive or snorkel at different sites around Bunaken Island. Visit spots like Mandolin, where you can see larger pelagic fish, or Alung Banua for its dramatic coral gardens.
- In the afternoon we had prepare a picnic lunch on the boat or a secluded beach. After enjoy the lunch, we are going to continue our underwater exploration at another dive snorkeling site or just spend the afternoon relaxing.
- Enjoy the evening island Fish Barbeque party in the resort for dinner and beach party.
DAY 04 : DOLPHIN AND SNORKELING IN SILADEN ISLAND
- Depart early morning for a dolphin-watching tour around Siladen Island. Siladen is known for frequent dolphin sightings, especially in the early morning on the way back to Siladen we will take a simple brekfast.
- On arrival we will spotting, anchor off Siladen Island for having and snorkeling. The shallow reefs are perfect for beginners and feature vibrant coral formations and a variety of reef fish.
- Enjoy lunch on Siladen Island, followed by more snorkeling or relaxation on the island’s beautiful beaches.
- Afternoon return to Bunaken Island for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 05 : SANDBAR TOURS AND SEAWEED FARMING TOURS
- Long journey by boat, morning we are set out for Nain Island, known for its unique sandbars that appear during low tide. Walk along the sandbars, take in the panoramic views, and enjoy a light breakfast on the sand.
- At the late morning visit a local seaweed farm to learn about the traditional methods of seaweed cultivation used by the island’s inhabitants. Engage with local farmers and learn about their way of life.
- In the afternoon after lunch, we will return to Bunaken Island for dinner and relaxation.
DAY 06: MANADO TUA ISLAND TREKKING
- Morning: Take a boat transfer to Manado Tua Island, the largest island in the area and home to an extinct volcano.
- Late Morning: Begin your trek up the slopes of Manado Tua. The hike takes you through lush tropical forests, offering the chance to spot unique flora and fauna.
- Afternoon, reach the summit for breathtaking views of the surrounding islands and the vast ocean. Enjoy a packed lunch at the summit.
- Evening, descend back to the village for an overnight stay in a local guesthouse, enjoying a traditional meal prepared by the locals.
DAY 07. MANTEHAGE ISLAND KAYAKING AND MANGROVE TOUR
- In the morning head to Mantehage Island for a kayaking adventure through its tranquil waters and mangrove forests. Discover the island’s unique ecosystems and birdlife.
- Afternoon continue exploring Mantehage’s coastal areas, with optional snorkeling to see the coral reefs.
- In the evening return to Bunaken Island for dinner and rest.
DAY 08: DEPARTURE TO MANADO OR AIRPORT
- Morning: After breakfast, transfer by boat back to Manado. Depending on your flight time, you may have a chance to visit some of Manado’s attractions, like the Ban Hin Kiong Temple or the Tunan Waterfall.
- Afternoon: Transfer to the airport for your departure.
