Mount Lokon experienced an eruption in 1952, but it is not known for sure when the first eruption occurred. In October 1991, this mountain erupted violently, causing enormous material losses.
Where did Mount Lokon come from? Mount Lokon (Indonesian: Lo’kon), also known as Gunung Lokon, together with Mount Empung, is a twin volcano (2.2 km or 1.4 mi apart) in Tomohon, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi, Indonesia, about 10 km (6 mi) south of Manado.

DAY 01 : MANADO – TOMOHON.
- We meet you in the airport, or somewhere in Manado and drive you to Tomohon. Earliest is best depart time to the starting point. Why earlier ? To avoid the heat of sunshine. On arrival at starting point we prepare the trek up to the crater. It takes about 1,5 hour up. The way to go up is following the lava lines. On the crater we directly to walk arround and make the memorable pictures. About 30 minutes on the crater area, we are directly going dawn to the basecamp where the car is pick us up. Having lunch at local restaurant, with the local menus on your own reguest. After lunch we are return to Manado. Afternoon arrive at the ending point. On the way of the trip we can stop at some interesting places to made a memorable photo tours. End of services.
